Now that the weather is finally changing and it’s not as cold anymore, there’s honestly nothing I enjoy more than eating outside. Fresh air, a nice view, and good food just make everything feel better.
Two of my absolute favorite spots for this are Rivas Taqueria and Dockside Brewery. Both have completely different vibes, but that’s exactly why I love them.
Rivas – West Haven
Rivas is one of those places that feels simple but so good. It’s perfect if you want something casual, quick, and still really flavorful.
What makes it even better is that it’s right in front of the beach, so you can grab your food and enjoy it with that ocean view and fresh breeze. Their outdoor seating is super relaxed, nothing too fancy, but that’s exactly the charm. It’s the kind of spot you go to after the beach or when you just want something easy but satisfying.
The tacos are always a good idea, and everything feels fresh and authentic. It’s one of those places you keep going back to without even thinking about it.

Dockside – Milford
Dockside is a whole different vibe. This is more of a “let’s go out, dress a little cute, and enjoy the view” kind of place.
Right by the water, the atmosphere here is honestly everything. Sitting outside with a drink, watching the sunset, and just enjoying the moment… it’s one of my favorite ways to unwind.
The menu has a little bit of everything, from seafood to comfort food, and the drinks are really good too. It’s perfect for a girls day, a date, or even just a chill dinner with family.

Riley’s by the Seawall – Stratford
Riley’s is such a hidden gem if you’re looking for something super chill and right by the water.
It’s literally by the seawall, so you get those coastal views while keeping things really low-key and relaxed. The vibe here is very laid-back, perfect for a casual lunch or a spontaneous stop after a beach walk.
It’s one of those spots where you don’t need to plan too much you just show up, grab something good, and enjoy the moment. Simple, easy, and exactly what you want on a nice day.
